Synthesis (Industrial Protest vs. Yellow Turban Rebellion)
The industrial protest that was led by the "Luddites" in the modern era can be easily compared to the Yellow Turban Rebellion that took place in Han China during the classical era. The Luddites were a group of English craftsmen who were unhappy with the wages they were receiving and immediately began to rebel by destroying textile machines. Similarly, in Han China, the lower class who was known as the peasants, began to rebel as they were unhappy with how the upper class exploited them and began to get more fortune while the peasants lost a lot of their money. Taxes were also placed on them which frustrated them even further. Both the rebellions in the modern and classical period can be directly compared as they both involve people rebelling over things such as money and both rebellions ended in the hands of the central government.
