Chapter Summary
Economy (Prateek Kasliwal and Carson Allen)-
The putting out system was a system of manufacturing where goods were produced in a common household. As new technological innovations came about, inventions like machines caused the putting out system to be replaced by the factory system where goods were mass produced more efficiently. This new system created many job opportunities which attracted many people. The conditions these workers went through were tough as they were given low wages, and were constantly working. This caused a protest that was led by the Luddites who were English craftsmen.

The inventions that where made in the industrial revolution truly revolutionized things we have today and are the reason they are there like your iPhone. Since technology was improving so was the population increasing at extreme numbers creating the need for jobs even more needed it was one beautiful cycle that created insane amounts of production!
Social (Esha)-
The industrial revolution has a great impact on the social structures, gender roles, and family life of many places. For example, it led to the creation of three social classes: the elite class, middle class, and working class. Since industrialization was basically the basis of business, and factories etc, the elite class was mainly comprised of entrepreneurs/businessmen while the lower class contained low wage earning laborers. Also, similar to many other places around the globe, the gender role of men had increased because they deemed to be more responsible for bringing money to their families. They were the most respected ones in the family.

Industrialization had spread widely to many regions across the globe, including Western Europe, North America, Russia, and Japan. It brought a multitude of effects to each place, like increased economic development in France, and stimulating the creation of many industries such as steel, iron, and coal ones. Industrialization had a deep effect on the tools, technologies, finance, and transportation etc. throughout these global regions. It left long lasting effects on each region.

Migration is one of the main activities during the industrial revolution. Without it, migrates from Europe wouldn't be working in factories in the America's. Migration from Europe during the Industrial Revolution fueled American urbanization. Migration gave the ability for population increase. However their factory work is what causes the higher death rate and severe environment pollution. Migration had left many impacts on society and the world.
